My Joy Journal

With much inspiration and enlightenment from @lissarankin, I decided to take it upon myself to create my very own "Joy Journal"

Her website entitled Owning Pink is something every woman should take part in. Reading her blog posts always leaves me feeling refreshed and craving to get in touch with the inner, authentic me.

Please make reading Owning Pink part of your daily routine. You won't regret it! http://www.owningpink.com/

Creating a Joy Journal has opened up a new window in my life. I have always wrote and kept journals. But starting this one was different. It had a set purpose and guidelines. I have found myself inspired and moved time after time. Everyday I write something new. My Joy Journal has also allowed me to take responsibility for my health and well being. Which, I believe is the first step in getting there. My Journal allows me to be present to the everyday miracles that occur in my life and I have made it a point to end my evening taking just 10 minutes to myself, I sit outside on my balcony and ask myself those three questions; What 3 things did I appreciate today? How did I own Pink today? And what inspired me today? They really do put things into perspective for you.

I also take this time to visualize the things I desire in life. What I want for my future, how they make me feel and I allow the expression on my face to correspond with the emotion. It has been my experience, that doing these things allows what your truly want to come into play and much faster than would otherwise. Just ask @mikedooley and @andydooley!

Dance like no one is watching, love like you can't get hurt and laugh often.

Make your journey one that counts!

Giant Steps

Watching people grow up that you are close to is not always an easy task. We can provide them with knowledge, guidance, support and love in hopes that they will utilize these tools to create a safe path that guides them to their ultimate enlightenment.

Not that all advice given is the right way to do things, we must create our own way and make our own decisions. However, I do believe that others opinions should be taken in to consideration before taking steps forward.

I can't stand the thought that one decision can change the rest of our lives. I can only hope that my loved one makes the right choice. I cannot hold them back from moving forward with their life.

Choose wisely, for the steps you take are giant ones. If you only knew.

With Love Always,
Megan

Enlightenment

I lost a pen that I was beginning to love between my office and my home. I must find it.

To the actual topic of this blog: Enlightenment.

On a daily basis, we come into contact with situations and events that we can gain from or ignore. In my recent years it has become quite apparent to me that no matter the case I should walk away having gained some knowledge. Something occurred today that allowed me to be present to this thought once again.

A client from the animal hospital I use to work out died early this morning from a heart attack. He woke up, took 3 gasps of air and died. No prior warning signs. I was not close to this person by any means. But it truly put me in a space of belittlement. Though I am constantly grateful for my life and appreciate the things the universe has blessed me with; Having the thought that one day, it is completely possible I might wake up and unexpectedly pass on to my next life.

This thought left me feeling incomplete. So I took a stand for my life. I am committing myself to Loving, Living, Appreciating, Experiencing life to it's fullest. No matter the circumstances. No longer will I let little things irritate me or gossip about things that really don't matter. I have this opportunity to live in this place, in this time and be whom ever I wish to be, and that is a fact. I'm going to take advantage of that.

I dare you to do the same. Ask yourself daily, "What if this is my last day in this life?" See where it takes you.

Watch out world. Here I come!
